e next edition of the SPLASH! Pool & Spa Trade
Show is expected to be the largest yet, with the event
moving to the Gold Coast Convention and Exhibi-
tion Centre (GCCEC) on August 17 and 18, 2016.
Simon Cooper, managing director of Interpoint
Events says the move to the GCCEC not only
provides the exhibition with 30 per cent more oor
area, but also enables all exhibitors to be located in
one large space.
" e bene ts to exhibitors include them all being
in one hall with easier access and higher ceilings,"
he says. "For visitors, it will mean they can visit all
the companies in one place and we will also build
meeting places on the show oor to make it easier
to get network and conduct business."
e event is expected to have more than 120 exhib-
itors and draw around 2500 visitors over the two days,
including pool builders, retailers, service technicians,
architects, landscapers, wholesalers, distributors, sports
and aquatic centre management, government bodies,
construction managers and engineers.
Previous editions of SPLASH! have also had a
healthy number of international visitors in addition
to the strong Australian attendance, with visitors
coming from New Zealand, China, Germany, Hong
Kong, the Philippines, Singapore, South Africa,
Spain, ailand, the UAE and the USA.
In 2016, SPLASH! will feature a dedicated New
Zealand Pavilion, with Kiwi manufacturer Filter-
master already signing on and many others expected
to join them.
e popular SPLASH! education program will
return in 2016, and will include a new co-location
with the International Swim Disability Conference.
"People with disability should have the same
opportunities to swim as everyone and SPLASH!
2016 will have a special focus via an International
Swim Disability Conference for swim schools
and teachers and a display of swim disability
equipment to support all swimmers to learn and
improve their abilities", says Ross Gage, CEO of
e SPLASH! Pool & Spa Trade Show will be
sponsored by industry leading companies including
AstralPool Australia (Platinum Sponsor), Pentair
and International Quadratics (Gold Sponsors), and

day was the private sunset cocktail party overlook-

of constantly changing colours and natural beauty.
e night continued with traditional Aboriginal
singing and dance performances, a multi-course
gourmet meal and a local astronomer describing the
mysteries of the night sky.
On the second day the dealers attended training
sessions such as:
• An overview of new equipment,
• An unveiling of the new range of robotic cleaners,
• An overview of the improvements to Zodiac's
pool and spa chemical range,
• A look into MagnaPool, and what distinguishes it
from other mineral pool products in the market,
• How to leverage social media.
